WHY YOU SHOULD ADOPT
A CAT FROM
We know that these days many cats and kittens are offered for sale on social media sites. Before you decide on this option please consider the advantages of adopting a feline from your local Cats Protection Branch.
All our cats are
- Micro chipped
- Health checked by a vet before adoption. If the vet suspects any kind of infection or illness, that will be addressed and treated before they are put up for adoption.
- Fully vaccinated before adoption.
We will pay for kittens adopted from us to be neutered and micro chipped when they are old enough. We will also pay for any outstanding vaccinations at the time of adoption.
All our cats and kittens have been regularly treated for fleas, ear mites and worms with reliable preparations like Frontline and Milbemax. We can provide a record of their treatments.
Does any other supplier give as much? We charge a £60 adoption fee ... just neutering you cat could cost more than that, never mind everything else we do.
Our cats are not fostered in a big cattery but by individual fosterers in pens or their own homes so that they can give you HONEST assessments of the character and temperament of any cat in their care because they get to know them pretty well. For example, if they are lap cats, hunters, independent etc. We can also advise on whether they would be best in a single cat or multi-cat household, and how they might react to dogs or children. We will always tell you of any behavioural problems, nothing is hidden from a potential adopter.
We always check the home and environment to make sure it is suitable for the feline you have expressed interest in. Our aim with all of our cats is to find them an environment suited to their needs so that both you and your new pet will be happy together. We are happy to give ongoing advice by phone or visit after adoption to ensure the cat settles well in its new home. If you cannot keep the cat you have adopted from us for ANY reason we will take it back into our care as soon as we can. This is part of our duty of care promise.
